W4CY Radio will be Broadcasting LiveWELLINGTON CELEBRATES EARTH DAY ON APRIL 18, 2010!Wellington and the Wellington Tree Board will celebrate Earth Day on Sunday, April 18, 2010 from 1 – 3 PM at the Peaceful Waters Sanctuary located at 11700 Pierson Road, inside Village Park. Wellington is partnering with several local groups and businesses, including the Wellington Garden Club, to provide informational flyers and giveaways to the public. This family-friendly educational celebration is a great opportunity to expose children to environmental awareness. The ceremony will include a ceremonial tree planting and awards given to our “I respect the Earth by…” contestants from Wellington Elementary School Ecology Club. There will be activities for children and FREE seedlings given away. Light refreshments will be served. There will also be a FREE raffle for a family 4-pack to the Rapids Water Park!

Palm Beach Harvest utilizes volunteers who donate their time to rescue about three million pounds of food every year. Where hungry adults and children find food and shelter, Palm Beach Harvest provides the nutritious hot meals to those who come to their doors.

The Veterans Support Organization (VSO), which was founded in 2001, is a 501C3 non-profit charitable organization that helps homeless, needy, and disabled veterans in the areas surrounding our offices. The VSO currently operates in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Georgia, and Florida. Donations collected are forwarded to the Department of Veterans Affairs Voluntary Services to support various programs offered to veterans such as recreational activities, the patient coffee program, and patient emergency needs, etc...
